Man, we have not even made the repairs to our house from the first hurricane and now we are going to get hit with a second one! All of our tree debris has not been picked up yet so now the news is telling us it will be like rockets coming at our house. Man I did not need to hear that! ok thanks for the me gripe!

we are west of daytona. The latest report said that when it hits me the wind should have died down and it will be about 100mph, which is about the wind speed that Charley hit us. Hopefully all will be well.

If you parents are near the cost it is a good idea for them to evacuate. Daytona/Melbourne is the latest place they are saying Frances will hit.

Actually, they are in Palm Coast, which is just north of Daytona. My stubborn father refused to buy plywood to cover his windows, and they are in a death trap of a house. I am worried sick about them, and you, and my aunt and friends down there. Are you all stocked up with your emergency hurricane stuff? I hope the forecast is wrong.

We are def. stocked up, yesterday we got out plywood, cash, water and gas today we will start making extra ice and getting extra batteries and tomorrow we will be putting up the plywood. The report I heard this morning was that Frances is going to hit at about Vero Beach (Brevard County) area, but I don't know if that will change or not. I really hope your dad changes his mind and boards up his home.

I'm in miami! I'm really scared, we just moved here there is a hurricane warning right now. DH and me are getting ready, we have food, water, batteries, gas but man! I'm scared

Reasons why I like to visit florida but not live in it.
Take care. Be Safe and remember, material things are easily replaced... love ones aren't.
I figured if I ever lived in Florida, I'd have to have relatives in Georgia for all the times I run from hurricanes!!!!

Donna, where on the west coast are you planning on visiting, I think that will really depend on if you should come down or not. I heard this morning that almost every airport will be cancelling flights begining tomorrow when the tropical storm winds start hitting.

I just was emailed this pictures which are of Frances from the international space center. I thought they were amazing!
It is still at a 4 with winds at about 145 mph, news is telling us that it might get to a cat. 5 (155+mph winds) by tomorrow.
I know you are all used to this but it took me 30 minutes today to drive 2.5 miles, that is just crazy! It reminded me of being on the Southern State at 5:30pm coming home from school!
