No. But they have to be dyeables so they match in color. But they can get whatever kind of shoe they want.

Hmmm...I've been debating about this one. If I were to have them wear the same shoes, I'd buy them for the girls. But I'm already paying for their hair, so I may just say go with strappy silver and get whatever heel you want. Not sure though.

Yes. And they hate me for it.

Hmm...this is my BMs/MOH dress....I would love for them to have matching shoe color but I think it might be too much to *** for them to pay for it and I CANT afford to buy them all. The dress is in Euro Wine

See, with my dress, you can see the shoes.

More thoughts please!!!!

Probably not, some may be comfortable in a particular shoe that someone else may not be comfortable in. I don't want anyone in pain that night so they can choose their own style as long it's the same exact color.

i just told my girls to wear whatever shoes they wanted. i'm not a big shoe girl myself, so it wasn't a big deal to me. the dresses were to the floor so you couldn't see their feet anyway... i wanted them to be confortable.
my sister/MOH pushed the limits on this one though-- i found out afterwards that she wore flip flops to the ceremony!!! little upset about that, but what was i gonna do? it was over and done with. you can't see them in any of the pics, and she did sooo much for my shower, etc that i was just glad she was up there with me and confortable.
i think the only time it REALLY matters is when the girls are wearing tea length dresses and you can see their feet.

I was just thinking about posting the same question. I'm been debating about this and I think I might let them buy whatever shoe they want but just make sure it's dyed to the dress color.

They can wear whatever shoes they want as long as they match the dresses. To be a member of a bridal party generally implies some uniformity amongst its members and individuality is generally thrown to the wind. My BP members are wearing different dresses in the same color and fabric so they can all be comfy as they vary in size. But I wouldn't be too thrilled if one decided to wear silver and one decided to dye to match. So I asked them to dye. This isn't a time to make a statement. Conforming for one day never killed anyone.

I originally wanted everyone to wear the same shoes and then realized nobody sees the shoes anyway and they should go for comfort. So they picked their own out and died them all the same color.

I told them all to pick their own shoes as long as it is silver and strappy and I get to approve the shoes first.

I'm not a big fan of dyeing the shoes to match the dress.

they picked seperates for their dresses so everyone is different so theyre wearing the same shoes

Re: Are you making you BMs/MOH...

If my BM dresses were tea length I might have been more involved with the shoe thing. I was thinking of dyables but I'm having a winter wedding and I heard the color can run in the snow, and a few BM thought the look was dated. (tho with certain color dresses I think it's the only way to go!). My BM all have ivory ribbon detailing (the 2 MOH have ivory tops) so we are all wearing ivory shoes. I'm going to look into ballroom dancing shoes but everyone is wearing what they want. Strappy, closed-toe I don't care...

My MOH asked everyone to get gold strappy shoes with straps that went around our ankles and that was more difficult than I thought (and didn't end up getting a style like that anyway!). Mine were gold and Indian looking (Indian dresses) and one girl had taupe, another really bright gold and the last had another gold.... so you should at least approve the shoe!

They can wear different shoes but they all have to have the same color (although I'm not sure as to what I am going with yet!)

I just asked them to get silver sandals, they don't have to be the same shoe because they are all wearing different dresses in the same color.

Re: Are you making you BMs/MOH...

i wasnt gonna....but then we got tee length dresses, so we all thought it looked better with them. if they couldnt find the same shoes i was gonna find a pin or something (like the shoes we decided on) so that they could all have what was comfortable to them but all have something that brought them together. If they had long dresses then i deffinately wanted them to be comfy and i didnt care what they wore!
