Since it is almost our year (and I just sat down to review my own budget) I wanted to see where everyone else is.
Me- I am about $300 under budget. Which of course I know I will spend on something before the wedding.

i am over budget, but i also didnt save as much as i should have so with both factors, well over budget but it only happens once, right?

I think mainly because I didn't know how much things actaully cost. Like photgrapher and videographer and florist and dresses!

we never set a 'budget' with a fixed amount to spend. we try to keep it to the bear minimums on prices, but i have a tendency to go a bit overboard.

So far, photog came in $1000 under budget, dress came in $300 under budget, DJ came in about $350 under budget. Havent really done much else yet. But I am waiting for that one big thing that is so beyond budget that I sit around freaking out about it.

Budget? Are you supposed to have one? Yeah, we kinda forgot to make one, and we're way over what we planned on spending. It's a once in a lifetime expense, we might as well enjoy it.

We started off w/ no budget...we booked the big vendors that we wanted w/ no concern for budget. I decided to do a real budget about 2 months ago & found that our loose budget of 35k is going to be more like 55k (WITH our hm).....WAYYYYYYYYYYY over budget for us. I'm flipping out now....FH is calm!!!!!!!! I handle the bills though.

Actually, I don't think we ever had one in mind, but if I had to estimate, I would say we are so far under budget by about $700. Ask me again in March.

ditto - I estimated low on photo, florist and invitations (forgot to factor in postage, etc). Also didn't really factor in some of the smaller items (guest book, OOT boxes, adders, veil, jewelry, shoes, makeup, hair) which add up pretty quick!

We are Thousands over budget. I think mainly b/c I made an unrealistic goal for my taste. I Thought I could get away with a $15K not realizing what you get fo $15K Now I doubled my budget and hoovering around $40K
