Are you paying for your BP

Original post by Iluvpoodles

To have their hair or makeup done? I feel bad that one has to pay alot more for special alterations but she said she's had to do this in the past too and it's not a problem for her. I was thinking of maybe paying for them to get their makeup done. I was originally to tell them they could use my girl, do it themselves or get it done someplace else. What do you all think?

I might pay for their makeup bc I have a friend that works for MAC that will do it for a good price.

nope...but i am not forcing them to use my people. They are welcome to do their own hair/makeup or ffind someone else if they dont wanna pay to use the people I booked.

Same with me...is there any way you can do an 'under the table' deal with this girl - just offer to pay either for her hair/makeup or for the extra cost of the dress but not let any of the other girls know?

Or, if you don't want to do that, I'm sure if you just explained to your other BM they wouldn't care. I mean, that is an ASTRONOMICAL amount to pay for the additional panel dress so I'm sure they'd understand!

I'm not going to pay for the extra cost of the dress. I'm having a very small BP, so I feel bad doing for one and not the other. I will probably end up doing it for both of them then.

Im putting money towards the hair since makeup is optional..not the whole thing though.

NO... it was optional for all of them...

Same here. Some people used my hair person, some used their own, some did their own or each others.

No, it was optional. Two of my BMs are getting theirs done and one of them (my sister) has really short hair and she got a cute hair accessory.

I think it is a great idea! I am doing the same thing. I figure since I know they all want to get there makeup done why not take it off their hands.

just an idea... maybe make them up a card (vistaprint) to let them know you are doing this.

I started one but I am having trouble with wording on how to say it lol.

I would if I had a small bridal party, but with 7 girls, my mother and FMIL, it's just too many people.

I am not requiring that they do hair and makeup though- it's totally up to them.

Re: Are you paying for your BP

I have 7 girls and I just can't afford to pay for the hair and makeup. What I MIGHT do is pay the tips and if there are any traveling fees (DEF traveling fees, just don't know about the tips yet). This way I don't feel AS BAD! But I also gave the girls the option to have their hair and makeup done by my girls or they can do it themselves just in case they can't afford it or don't want it done.

No. But I probably will be paying for my mother to get her done

I am paying for both their hair and makeup - if they want both (I am not going to force them though to do either if they do not want to). It is part of their present. I thought it would be fun to do that all together....especially since my salon is setting something up for us

I didn't, but I bought their dresses for them. Everyone chose to have their hair and makeup done professionally and paid for it themselves.

I got a package deal with my hair/makeup person so she will be doing my hair/makeup and that of my mother, my matron of honor and any bridesmaids I would include in my BP (of which there are none) for 1 low price.

Otherwise, I probably would not be offering to pay for their hair/makeup.
