Are you seeing your FH before the ceremony?

I was dead set on not seeing him prior to the ceremony, because I wanted to have that exciting moment when we first see each other walking down the aisle. But my photographer pointed out that since we're having our ceremony and CH and Reception at the same place, then we (and our families) will likely end up missing the whole CH because we're off taking pictures! So he thought we should take pictures beforehand.

What do you ladies think? I think we can still probably create an exciting moment to see each other beforehand and figure something out and I don't want to be rushed through the pics, but I also don't want to give up something special. What are you doing?

I dont plan on seeing FH till the ceremony. I have no idea what were going to be doing about pics because i still havent even looked for a photographer

That's all right - we're getting married the week after you are and we just booked yesterday, so no big deal!

I was in the same situation. Soooo set on not seeing FH until the ceremony BUT everyone from our photog to our DOC said get your pics out of the way so you can enjoy your party (we're also having our ceremony at the RH).

We're having our pics taken at Old Westbury Gardens and are arriving in seperate limo's. Our DOC is setting up a special 'first moment' for us there which will just be us and of course the photog..don't want to miss that photo op!!!! Now I'm totally over the traditional aspect.

My ceremony is at the RH and the cocktail hour is immediately following the ceremony. I would rather take pics before, that way no one misses a second of that day including us.

It goes by way to fast and we don't want to miss a thing

You know me and my FH were going to NOT see each other before the ceremony but we are having the reception at the same place also and our photographer pointed out it will maybe be easier for us to photograph before cuz it wont be as crowded. Then i thought we should take the pics before because im going to be a mess after the ceremony most likely crying and all from the vows and i want our pictures to come out nice ,,Thats what we decided think about it what would work for you.

I realised that this is his wedding too and that marriage is about compromise. As for good luck or bad luck. People make their own luck. I don't see how an old tradition from arranged marriages can effect my life. Furthermore a strong marriage does not need luck. Ok off my soapbox now. Good luck with your decision.

Hmm..that actually does make sense. I will probably end up seeing my FH before the ceremony too..because we will be there setting up the table sand stuff(we dont have a wedding planner) but this is a maybe. But if I were in ur situation I would give up my CH lol...I wouldnt want him to see me before the ceremony...IMO
