Are you supposed to throw yourself an e-party?
My bm asked when my e-party was going to be. I wasn't going to have one because I thought you aren't supposed to throw one for yourself. But she said you are.

Some people have had their parents throw their e-party, but you can have a informal get-together or BBQ to celebrate.
I think these days anyone can really throw you an e-party, including yourself. But I don't think you even NEED to have one at all...
My FI and I had our own little party - we rented out some space in a lounge in midtown. My parents aren't into the whole wedding thing and I wanted to celebrate my engagement, so we did it ourselves!
I agree with everyone else. I think if you want, you could throw an e-party. My parents gave us ours, but for that matter they did the same thing for my sister and brother. I think it's just preference. BTW, they are not a relatively new thing. My parent's had an e-party 40 years ago when they got married!
We didn't have one and I think now it is too late for us...can you throw an Eparty when you have been engaged over a year? I might as well just wait for the wedding!
