Are you taking FH's last name and loosing your current one?
I am planning on taking FH's last name. Not hyphenating with mine or anything. I will take his name both personally and professionally. I may shorten my LONG italian last name and make it my children's middle name when I have them.
What are the rest of you girls doing? or did you do?

I don't like my last name, so I'm dropping it. I don't *love* FH's last name either but at least its a change from the one I have now!

I am keeping my name. It's funny, we have similar, Italian last names...but his doesn't flow as nice with mine.
But I'm keeping my last name b/c it's mine, I like it and I see no reason to change it.

I'm taking his last name.. I'm proud too.. I have to admit, however, that I was upset to lose my old name.. I LOVE my old name..

i took rob last name...but I use my last name professionally...and it is on my insurance and payck/bank acct so its like I never lost it!

I will be either hyphenating or using both without the hyphen. Our future children will have his name (so that it is easier to trace geneology)

I'm hyphenating, adding his after my last name. You remember when we were younger and used to write our names with our boyfriend's last name for fun? I haven't even done that with his name!! I'm going to go play now.

Since I do not have a middle name, and I love my last name, I will be using it as my middle name, then taking his last.

using both....no hyphen... like Jennifer Love Hewitt. Husband is not taking mine & I am doing it legally. We talked about him taking it & I didn't think it was necessary.... The kid (if any) will have both, otherwise the family name dies w/me
