Are you taking FH's last name and loosing your current one?

I am planning on taking FH's last name. Not hyphenating with mine or anything. I will take his name both personally and professionally. I may shorten my LONG italian last name and make it my children's middle name when I have them.

What are the rest of you girls doing? or did you do?

I use my maiden name at work and go by his socially.

For those of you that hyphenated or will.........

Do you then have to sign both names all the time or just one?

I took his name, it really meant a lot to me. Also I want to have the same name as our children one day!

I love mine but it is too long (together) to hyphinate so I will take his

I am still debating what I am doing about my name. We will have no children together so that isn't a factor but I'm still not sure although I am leaning towards taking his but maybe keeping mine somehow too.

Both of ours are really to long to hyphenate too

We've kept our names the same, but plan to legally change both names

I took his...I think its important that a family shares a family name...whatever it may be

I'll be taking his last name no problemo! Both long ethnic Greek names so I'm ok on that front!

I might make my maiden name my middle name - but don't know yet

I will be taking his even though I am not to fond of it. I cant have the 2 b/c its sounds like a coffee maker.

I took his name and I was so happy to do so. I just feel that it's the 'right' thing to do and it makes it more like a family.

We're both hyphenating. Haven't done all the changing over yet, but that's what is on the marriage license.

I dropped my middle name and made my last name my new middle name and took his last name
