Re: Are you taking his last name? (poll)
FH thinks my last name is so interesting and unique he wants me to keep it.
I actually am keeping it, but will change it when we think of having kids.

Yes, I really didn't want too but he wants it and it is not worth the fight. Also we have a son and they cal me by his last name for everything that has to do with our son so might as well

I am excited to take his last name, I am moving up in the world from R to D, now when we have kids they won't have to wait to be called nearly last for everything!

I'm not sure yet... He doesn't even like his last name - he was thinking of changing it to his mother's maiden name If he were to do that, then yes! I'm just very attached to my name after 30 years of growing to love it! hehe

My last name is so easy and nice!! His is horrible (i am so mean) but it is. He still gets made fun of for it and said when he was a kid it was BAD. All the people at work already make fun of me about my future last name (cause they all suck). I think I will used both of our last names but I dont think I am officially changing everything over until we have kids.. I think thats a fair deal.

I'm taking his. I like tradition, and I don't like my last name anyway! I don't love his either but I like it better than mine... anyway I'd take it anyway, that's not really the point is it?

I will put his last name on the Marriage certificate. For the little things I will use his last name as in for invitations, joint credit cards, phone bills etc.
but, I will keep my own on my mortgage and diplomas. I will keep my name at my job as well.

i posted a million of these polls.
Yes, I am taking DH's name. However, still wavering about whether I will make my maiden name my middle name, something a lot of my law school classmates have done.

I'm taking his but I'll probably use my maiden at work...just because I work in a business of recognition (sales).
