definitely! Not only because it's a nice tradition and I'm an old fashion girl, but i also think that it's a lot more important to him than it is to me, to be passing down his name. Plus he's got a good one. If he had something weird & awkward, I might be questioning it now. lol.

I like my last name, but I'm going to take his because it's very easy to say and spell, which is a good thing for a 2nd grade teacher.

I really like my last name, but I also like FH's last name, so I'm taking his. It's certainly a mouthful, and he actually pronounces it 2 different ways depending on if he's speaking to a Greek or non-Greek So really...I don't know what my new last name really is

I actually got into an argument with a friend about this the other day. She was horrified that I was taking his last name.
I am not usually a traditional person but it means much more to him than it does to me and it doesn't really change who I am as a person. I do plan on making my maiden name a second middle name because my mother's maiden name is already my middle name. Confusing I know, lol!

this is what i want to do. it's the way i wrote it on our marriage license. but are you changing your name on your drivers license and social security? like putting 'first name middle maiden new last name'? i mean, doing the name this way means we can use either last name, but are you going to change it on your cards, etc? I'm still confused about what to do about that.
i have professional licenses and i don't feel like changing my 20 credit cards! I still don't know!
