If you aren't having a 'money purse' are you still buying a purse for the big day? I wanted to get one but FH was like 'why would you need a purse? are you going to walk around carrying it during the reception?' I thought it was a good question! Thanks!

Yes, b/c it comes w/ the dress & I'd like to put my lipstick/compact/comb etc. in it. I'd just leave it under our table at the reception.

I didn't use one. My MOH made a 'survival kit' (hairspray, perfume, mints, sewing kit, etc) and also kept everything I needed (lipstick, etc) in a bag which we kept in the bridal suite.

I did the same thing. Only I left it in the bridal suite and went there to freshen up.

I left everything in the bridal suite - you dont want to be carrying anything around, and you're probably going to goto the bridal suite anyway to touch up your makeup, just leave it there.

I am using one. I bought it already too!! (the wedding is still so far away). I am going to use it for my makeup and I am asthmatic so I have to carry my inhaler (like a dork)

Probably not. I haven't seen one that I like for under $200 and I can't justify spending that on an ivory purse I'll never use again. My Coordinator also told me that I won't need one.

I had a pretty beaded purse with lipstick, liner, gloss, a brush (my hair was down) and a compact. My SIL had my 'survival kit'
I am glad I had my own makeup because I realized that once people start dancing, they forget about you and being your 'bridesmaids'

i got a simple clutch from spiegel for like $29 and added a brooch to the front. i'll probably keep it in the bridal suite. it's just something to add for pictures, really. it'll be photographed on the bed with all the other stuff (gown, garter, rb pillow, etc.)
I bought one at DSW this week. It was an ivory beaded evening bag, and much cheaper than the wedding purses I saw at the bridal shops ($35 for a very nice bag, as opposed to double that for a bag that looks like cardboard with satin glued on top).
I figure I'll need somethng for my makeup, cell phone, etc.

That is so pretty!!
I'm just going to keep everything I need in the bridal suite, wont be carrying a purse, I think it would just get in my way.

Yes, I will be putting some lippy, mascara and those oil blotter thingys for the day.... all of which my MOH will carry! LOL
