are you using an aisle runner?

are you using an aisle runner?

I was trying to keep things simple and wasn't planning to use an aisle runner for my ceremony. Am I alone?

A florist encouraged me to use one and is going to include it in her quote. I happened to be in Michael's that day and thought, what the heck, maybe I should get one. But ithe runner they had seemed to be made of cheap plastic. Why would I want that? The ceremony site (a converted barn on the GW Manor's premise) has red carpeting. Wouldn't that be okay?

i think its fine not to have one
i think i am having one but only if the rh gives it to me which i think they do- a plain white one.
if a florist wants to throw it in i'd use it but i always wonder are u really paying for it somewhere else? but probably not . .. probably just trying to help..

We were going to rent one from our limo company, but our priest actually recommended against it (he's seen people trip on them ). Our church has wood floors with a nice red carpet running up the main aisle, so after discussing it, we decided not to do it (we agree with you that the carpet will be enough). We're going to put that little bit of money towards something else instead

No aisle runner for us. I want to click my way down the beautiful hardwood floor!

No aisle runner. not necessary on the wooden floor, or if we do outside ceremony, on the beautiful brick walkway.
I don't want to trip, or to have anyone else trip.

You don't need the runner. Personally, I think they're a waste of money unless you're getting married on dark, heavy dirt. I mean really, it's 30 yards of fabric just to step on.

Mine is included w/my limos-may or may not choose to use it though! I have to see how the room looks set up at my rehearsal.

i am having one, the carpet at my RH (where the ceremony is taking place) is dark grey, and i was worried about the petals... my florist included it in the price, and it's really not that much more $

I am going to be using one, along with rose petals

I am getting married at my RH and have decided not to use an aisle runner. They provide one for me, but I am a total klutz and I am afraid of tripping over it.

I am not using one... then again, on the DIY board, there was a bride who made an awesome-looking one.... I think I'll just skip it though. no need for it, the carpet is nice in the church, and I have no dirt to walk on.
