Just wondering if anyone is wearing a blusher when they walk down the aisle. Do you have to have one? Or is that only for catholic weddings symbolizing purity? Thanks.

I don't know if it's just for catholic weddings. I wasn't going to wear one but when I tried it on with my dress I got that tingly feeling! So now I'm looking for one.

I am wearing one because I liked the way it looked when I tried it on.
It is not required for a Catholic wedding. Maybe it was in the past? I see it is more of a fashion thing - you like it or you don't.

It's not mandatory in the Catholic religion to wear a blusher.
I'm not wearing one on my wedding day, My luck my dad will go to lift it over my head and it'll get caught on my hair broach and rip my hair out. So no blusher for me!

Thanks ladies. I'm not religious and someone had told me that it was a catholic thing to symbolize that your a virgin. I also love the way that it looks but after being told that it was a religious only virgin thing I wasn't sure.

I don't think it has anything to do with Catholism or virginity. I believe that blushers were originally used because most marriages were arranged, and the bride and bridegroom never saw eachother prior to the wedding. The bride had to cover her face so that the bridegroom couldn't run away if he didnt find her attractive. By the time they lifted the veil, the vows has been said, and it was too late.
To answer the question: I am not going to wear a blusher.
