My mother wants me desparately to do this but it's just not my thing. But if you want to do it, go for it!

My MIL made my veil b/c I was so picky about what I wanted. I had a blusher that was over my face when I walked down the aisle and was removable. After my father lifted it and kissed me on the cheek, he pulled it off and stuffed it in his pocket. Then I had under my hair a fingertip length veil which I left on the whole day. I have proofs of this that are not scanned and unfortunately none of my friends got pictures of me walking up the aisle.

Over the past two years we've been to about 14 weddings and I only saw three brides not wear the veil over their face when they walked down the aisle.

I didn't. I am not very big on having things in my face, so I made the decision not to.

I'm doing it.

In the last 4 weddings I've been to 1 other bride did it.

ETA: The blusher is detachable (velcro) so I'll be left with a cathedral veil for the pics which will get bustled for the reception.

I did, I loved when my father uncovered my face, gave me akiss and then game me to my husband.

I did it - it's a pretty traditional part of the Jewish cermony. I had a 3 tier fingertip length veil, and wore the top layer over my face. Before the ceremony, Brad veiled me (this is part of the Jewish wedding). I loved when my parents lifted my veil to kiss me halfway down the aisle before Brad came to get me, and I loved when he lifted my veil to kiss me at the end.

No. I tried one on that had a blusher and I didn't like it. My mother was with me and she didn't like it either.

Anything that reduces the chances of me tripping down the aisle is welcome!

i love the way my mantilla looks as a 'cage' style veil, but then when you flip it back for the ceremony it looks funky.

Also, i need to decend down 50 cement stairs - i am already afraid of falling on my a$$ - not going to increase the chances.

I plan on wearing it down the aisle and having my day flip it over.

I am not doing it, but I really think that it is personal preference. I think it's beautiful, I just don't want to do it.

I did because I wanted that for my ceremony, something traditional. My husband said that it was really special because we saw each other before the ceremony for pictures so when I walked down the aisle with the veil over my face it was more special.
