Are you/Did you Make your BM's get their hair done?

I was just wondering if anyone made their BM's get their hair done in an updo or half up do

I have been going through my pics and 2 of my BM's insisted on wearing their hair straight, it just looks so plain compared to me and the other 2 BM's

My adult girls all wanted to get it done, and my 13 year old niece has no say in the matter

My girls are wearing their hair however the want.

This is what i said, i told them do whatever you want, and now looking back at photos it just really stands out, and they just look like they just got a blow out, nothing special like any other guest.

I cant change whats done, but just wanted to see what the norm is.

same here, actually only my daughter is coming with me that day to get our hair done. I was kinda sad about that but I am not going to force anyone to come along. No one is coming to my hairtrial tomorrow either.

It does stand out a little but they still look pretty.
I will still probably let mine do whatever they want with their hair. I'm paying for their make-up though

i asked they got their hair done. i cared more about that than makeup. i just let them get whatever style they wanted as long as it was up.

My MOH and BM are so very different in a million ways...including hair. Other than going bald or some completely insane hair do...I just want them to be comfortable...that also includes there shoes. MOH is 5'6' and BM is 4'11' with a 7' personality!!!!! They can do there hair however they want...our pics are going to look funny as it is. MOH 5'6' Best Man 6'1', groomsman 5'2' bridesmaid 4'11'...junior best man 4'9'.
It's going to look like Dorothy met her talk love in Oz and all the munchins came to celebrate!!!!! my BP hair is the least of my worries!!!!

I am not making them get it done but all of them are getting it done. I said either up or half up either way, just not all down. I hope that's not too demanding :)

I'm not.. I want them to be themselves.. if they want it down that is fne if they want it up thats fine. I also gave them the color of the dress and lt them each pick a different one then I told them ok Metallic Silver sandals pick what you want. I picked them for who they are i want them to remain to be that person on our wedding day.

I'm either. I dont want to dictate that. Not everyone looks good with the same style so i didn't want anyone being uncomfortable with the way they look

I offered to pay for my BM's to get their hair done OR their make up, but i know that all my BM's will get their hair done with me or at there own stylist. i think it looks so much nicer and if cost is the issue, i offered to help out

No way. I know how expensive it gets being a BM and I told them do it if they want to. Most are but it is their choice

I had one girl just get a blow out but I thought it looked fine...maybe b/c the 2 in question are just standing next to each other it stands out more in that picture?

It's funny b/c I told my girls they can do whatever they want.But I do know what you mean, I saw a few pictures since I've been on this site and I have taken a second look at some girls who just leave their hair down like they normally would, but then I realized, that's who they are and that's how they are most comfortable and I'm okay with that.

Most of my girls are getting their hair put up. My 13 yr old niece will NEVER have her hair put up and she'll make me miserable if I make her.

My biggest requirement for my BP is that they are comfortable and have fun and enjoy sharing the day with us.

if I was paying for it I would insist it go up and even tell them what style I'd like them to wear. I can't afford that so I gave them the option of getting their hair done, since they're paying they're going to do whatever they want.

being honest nicole and not just saying this, i think they look fine. If their hair would've been down and looked bad i would say it but dont think it stands out and makes you think ugh . To look elegant or dressy you dont always have to do alot with your hair. Infact if you see events such as the oscars, emmy's and that sort of thing you will see that MANY celebrities wear their hair down and very simple. You'll see alot of them with hair just straight and nothing much done to it. I guess its also why alot of salons in the city dont really do these overly done updo's or half up half down. I remember having trouble going into the city to get something like this done before. They dont do it much and always prefer simple.

They looked beautiful and elegant

and to answer your question, yes i let my girls do their hair however they wanted. They asked me if i wanted it a certain way and i just said do it however you like.

I do not have bm - I have 2 men of honor so No. In every wedding I have been in all girls wore their hair however they wanted to.

i told my girls all to do what they wanted to and they all got their hair done even my sil who has short hair it came out nice- honestly I dont think anyone noticed and I wouldnt have been able to point it out without you bringing it to anyones attention it's not a big deal everyone looks good in the pic
