Are your fiance's parents paying for anything?

Just curious... my parents are footing about 80% of the wedding costs, we're doing about 20% and my fiance's mom is doing the rehearsal dinner...

I know there are different versions of who should pay what depending on what 'tradition' you go by... how is everyone here doing it? I would like to ask his mom to help with limos or videographer or something to help lessen the blow for us. It's so awkward and stressful!

We are splitting it into thirds. Hopefully, we will stop spending money because our third is the only one that can increase (if that makes sense).

They're paying for his family and their guests at the wedding and for the rehearsal dinner. My family is paying for my relatives and their friends, and FH and I are covering all other costs!

Our parents are splitting the wedding 50/50, they sat down and had the money conversation amongst themselves and tthen old us what the budget was after they spoke

Yea right. His mom is loaded but she is so damn cheap. It was 13 degrees outside and she had the heat on 60 when we visited over christmas. I froze my *** of for 3 days!

hahaha sounds like my FMIL and no they havent offered us not one penny!!!!

They said they were going to give us something and so far it was never brought up again. FH and I have been paying for everything except the photos/video. My father picked that up.

my parents are paying for about 80% also, and his parents are not helping at all. I dont even think she is even doing anything for the rehearsal dinner. She has not mentioned it and Im not waiting forever. I'll just take care of it myself.

they aren't helping us out at all!!! my parents have ben really great and are paying for the reception, and FH and I are paying for all other expenses like the limos, flowers, dj, photographer, you name it.
