ARGH

so I heard this weekend from two of our friends (who tried to reserve rooms separately) that our block at our Hotel for OOT guests was full....we were expecting this as they would only block us 20 rooms, and until we filled those 20 they would not increase the block. We know we will need probably closer to 50 rooms, so we were trying to get people to book early so we could be sure to get our block increased. My mom called the hotel today, and the block manager says the block is not full, only 12 rooms have been reserved, and maybe our guests said the wrong dates b/c that's the only way they would be told the block is full. Now, one person they told the block is full but you can reserve a suite for $10 more a night, so he did! and the other they just said the block is full! I find it hard to believe they said the wrong dates when we gave them all the information in an email and our date is so easy to remember! these are our college friends, not older relatives who might get confused...

I really feel like an idiot telling our friends, oh did you say the wrong day? no? than the hotel is just dumb, try again....

that stinks! but can't you just verify the info on the block and find out when they booked the rooms? that doesn't make sense at all and i think the person at the hotel is making something up. cause really---that would mean if they asked for the block and it was the 'wrong' date--then that would mean the one friend who booked a suite has it on the wrong date!

i think the ppl at the hotel made a mistake--i would call them back and find out when your friend booked their room for that was given a suite. if its on the correct days, then that means THEIR staff made an error in telling him he had to get a suite!

well they're going to try to find his booking and correct it....but it's still annoying hehe....hopefully this will be the last of our problems with them
