ARGH! DOES ANYONE ELSE THINK IT'S TOO LATE FOR A LOUD STEREO IN A CONDO COMPLEX WITH THIN WALLS???
I HATE MY NEIGHBORS! They are CONSTANTLY blasting their stereo, does not matter what time it is! The pictures in my bedroom are SHAKING ON THE WALL FROM THE BASS! We've said something to them in a very passive, friendly way, and STILL! ARGH! Ok, just needed to vent.

Oh, that won't work! They BLAST IT AT 6AM TOO! We are going to complain to the co-op board, rather than call the police. The co-op board is strict here, and they can cause more HELL than the police.

I have been there! In my old apt. the guy downstairs used to blast his music all the time - I used to punch my pillow I would get so mad!
And I was working on my Masters at the time, which stressed me out enough!
I finally complained to my landlord after talking to the guy a gazillion times! Luckily our landlord believed me and asked if I wanted the other tenant kicked out!! But I was moving anyway....
Is there anyone you can call besides the police. If need be, I would call police if it continues...

The guy upstairs from me plays his tv so loud, sometimes I put on whatever he's watching just to fool myself into thinking it's not annoying. It's VERY annoying though. Even right now, at quarter to midnight, he's got his tv blasting. And our walls are thick. Ugh...the joys of apartment living.

The one GREAT thing about my apartment in MA was that it was a building FULL OF SENIORS. They were always in bed SO early and so quiet! But this is nuts! I just can't understand the mentality.

In my case, there's nobody to call. The guy is a cop, and his brother, who is the president of the co-op board, lives next to him. You can not tell me he can't hear it, unless he's deaf. I even hear his tv when I go into the hallway. Does his brother have soundproof walls? What the Hell? Sometimes I hit the ceiling with a broomstick, but then I get nervous he might come down here and yell at me and I'll be standing here in my pajamas looking like a fool.

Oh god. I think I would beat the living HELL out of my ceiling with my broom! I usually deal with the consequences when it's too late! This is my parent's co-op though, so I don't want to start trouble.

Same thing here, it's my mom's, and once she saw me doing it, and had a FIT. She yelled, and he turned his tv up....ugh. Oh well. To make matters worse, on more than one occasion, he's been watching porn at top volume. At least, I think it sounds like a porno, and I've never seen him with a real woman. Who knows. Right now he's watching Leno. What's so funny about leno that everyone in the building has to hear it?
