Originally FH and I were going to ask his 2 young cousins (who are 4 and 2) to be our flower girls for our wedding. We decided we weren't going to ask their parents until next year since we had a while... well just recently his brother became engaged and booked his wedding for May 2009 and his cousin became engaged and is looking for an Oct 2009 date.. and they are both have asked the girls' parents if they can be their flower girls for their weddings.
FH and I feel like now we can't ask them to be our flower girls since the mother will probably go crazy buying all these flower girl dresses for the other 2 weddings...
What do you all think? Do you think it woudl be a bit much if we asked them to be our fg's as well? I don't have anyone else to ask, my youngest cousin on my side of hte family will be 10 years old by the time we get married and i feel like she would be too old for a fg....
sorry just needed to vent.
thanks ladies!

Re: Argh. Flower Girl dilemma.
I would ask anyway! Tell them you'll COMPLETELY understand if she can not do it, but you'd really like FHs two young cousins to be there.
If we have FGs we have to 2, and then 2 JBM and 2 JGM. My cousin has six children... but we're playing by ear for now since the wedding is so far away.

aw, that *****. but i think it may be ok to still ask the parents. they do know that u were engaged first. you could mention that you had already planned to ask them. if all else fails, would it be possible for you and FH to pay or split the cost of the dresses with the parents?

Or even offer to pay entirely? I'm sure you could find dresses that arent too pricy. (This relly su cks!)

aww that stinks but I would still ask them. Im sure there parents will be honored to have their kids in so many parties. Its so hard to get little kids especially if you dont have many in your family. I would still ask them and maybe pick a dress thats not too expensive

Would it be horrible if they wore the same dresses for both weddings? I'm sure they'd look cute either way! Or the younger one could wear the older one's dress for your wedding, so you'd only have to buy one more!

Re: Argh. Flower Girl dilemma.
Sorry to butt in on your post, BUT I just ordered the CUTEST dress from--ready for this?--EBAY!!!!!!
It was only $25 (I didn't choose the Buy It Now option) and it was even CUTER in person! The material was much more silkier and shinier! And for a price like that, you can always buy the dress yourself for the Flower Girl!
