Okay ladies.. ENOUGH!! All this talk about Aruba is getting me antsy I'm going in the very end of August.. the anticipation is overwhelming!
I am staying at the Radisson - no AI, just the breakfast plan, which is cool because I am a breakfast person. I never go without eating b-fast
I have a few questions maybe you ladies can help me out with:
1) What the heck do I pack? I mean, I know the obvious--swimsuits, tank tops, shorts..etc, but what about the nightclubs? Do people usually get decked out or is a nice pair of capris & a cute tank top suffice? (I was browsing through the VS catalog last night and saw only a gazillion things I just NEED to have ) Also.. is there other things to do at night besides going to nightclubs..??
2) Food... What is the average meal at lets say.. Texas de Brazil or El Gaucho going to run us?? (I just want to be prepared- I dont mind spending the $$, but I was just curious... I get alot of mixed reviews of how expensive it is to eat out there)
3) Are there any MUST DO excursions we should take? We are looking into taking a sunset dinner cruise... Has anyone taken it? Is is cheesy?? I heard the Tattoo party boat was fun..
Thanks ladies.. I cant wait to to play with the lizards I need to get out of NY . AhhHHHh!!!

1. We didn't go to any clubs, but the whole island seemed pretty relaxed and not fancy.
2. At Amazonia, which was like Texas de Brazil, we got dinner and sangria and it ended up being a little over $100 for the 2 of us. Lots of other restaurants were cheaper, since you are from NY you probably won't be shocked at the prices
3. IMO, you should either do a jeep tour of the islnad, or rent a jeep and do it yourself. The north part is very cool and untamed. Also, a snorkel boat excursion. We did one from Jolly pirates, but there are tons out there.
You'll have a blast whatever you do!

Many people have told me we HAVE to do the kukukunuku (sp!? ) bus tour! It tours bars and sounds like a lot of fun

Re: aruba
Three things I am going to suggest every couple must do:
1. DePalm tours Sea Trek- it was incredible! DH and I walked on the bottom of the ocean floor (it's like 25 feet down). It was incredible!
2. ABC Jeep Tour- we did the full day tour and had a great time. It was great to see the other side of the island.
3. Kukukunooko tour- DH did not want to do this at 1st but reluctantly agreed. Well, he had the most incredible time. It was really a lot of fun and we had a great time.

Kukukunooko runs every evening except for Sunday. The price includes dinner and the first drink at every bar.
