Aruba, Cancun, DR, PR, AN

Hello Everyone,
Since our honeymoon was pretty much rained out, (not pretty much, totally) DH and I want to take sort of a smaller second one this year. Trick is, he has free flights with Jet Blue and we need to go where they go :)
So that seems to be Cancun, Puerto Rico, Aruba St. Maartin or the Dominican Republic.
We do want an all inclusive just in case it is a mess agan, but also like to go out and explore the areas so there need to be fun things (other than clubs) and be safe.
Anyone have any recommendations or cautions in any of those areas? Thanks ladies!

I've been to both PR and DR...

I'd definitely recommend DR!
Punta Cana and Puerto Plata are the hotspots and there is a TON of things to do!
Almost all of the resorts are all-inclusive down there so you have a lot to choose from!

JetBlue also flies direct to Nassau, Bahamas (not sure if you have already been).

I'm going to Cancun in February with my girlfriends and if you're a snorkeling-lover like me, you should love it there.. because the world's second largest coral reef is there in the Riviera Maya.

Have fun deciding.. all Caribbean Islands are cool.

I've been to Cancun and Aruba and loved them both.

We did both all-inclusive and pay as you go in Cancun and ended up spending less money paying as we went (and stayed a night longer). In Aruba, we did pay as you go - there are a lot of great restaurants there.

Depending on what time of year you would be going - I'd recommend Aruba - they are out of the hurricane belt and they are a dessert and don't get too much rain.

St. Maarten was the most beautiful place I have ever been to. We would definitely go back. We stopped there on a cruise for a day and wish we had longer. 1/2 of the Island is Dutch and 1/2 is French so there are 2 very different cultures (and rules) on each side of the island. I highly recommend it!

We also stopped in Puerto Rico and really didn't like it. I think that may have been because we were in San Juan and were close to the port.

We are going to Aruba for our honeymoon and have heard great things.


Have you considered a cruise?

Can't go wrong with Cancun.
You really do not even have to A.I. in Cancun, unless you are staying somewhere outside the Hotel Zone (any of the resorts between Cancun, and Playa Del Carmen).

I would def go to st maarten. I was there a few years ago but the water was so perfect...clear, warm, and still. There were also alot of places to go outdoor bars with live music type of thing, it was a blast!
Now that im talking abouti t I want to go back
