Aruba for Honeymoon..Need hotel suggestions

Hi there! We have decided that we are going to go to Aruba for our October honeymoon. We are trying to decide on hotels, and we are stuck on whether we should do the Marriot, Radisson, or the Wyndham. Any help, comments would be great. Thanks!

My parents have a timeshare in Aruba and I've gone 3 years

... I recommend the 1.) Hyatt 2.) Radisson 3.) Allegro 4.) Marriott The hyatt is next to Playa Linda - which is where their timeshare is ... the island is beautiful and the hyatt - if you guys can afford it is well worth it. The Hyatt is in the middle of the strip and it is absolutely gorgeous. The Allegro is next to the Hyatt and then the Radisson. The Radisson is new - I think they built it about 2-3 years ago. Beautiful too. The restaurants in both hotels are fabulous - and they are next to each other, you can hop from casino to casino. The Marriott is more to the right of the strip and Wyndham to the left. But all the hotels there are gorgeous. Email me, I can give you some more scoop on restaurants and things to do. It's so beautiful there - we are not doing that for our honeymoon, because I've been there so often. But we'll probably tag along with my parents on our 1 year anniversary - it's the same week as there timeshare! Lots of Luck! [email protected]

Aruba for Honeymoon..Need hotel suggestions

I have decided to go to Aruba as well for my honeymoon. I would suggest the Allegro Resort because it is all inclusive and I heard it is a very beautiful hotel to stay at for your honeymoon. Now I also heard that the Hyatt is beautiful but watch out cause that hotel is so congested with people and kids. I would just recommend going there just to look at the hotel while on your honeymoon just to see how pretty it is.

Aruba for Honeymoon..Need hotel suggestions

Hi! My fiance's parent's have a timeshare in Aruba and we go every December. The hotels that you mentioned are all very nice. I do highly recommend the Hyatt. It is the 'in' place in Aruba. We end up at the Hyatt Casino every night. The grounds are also very beautiful! If you want all inclusive, I would recommend the Allegro. It is right next door to the Hyatt. The only reason that I wouldn't recommend all-inclusive is because there are a lot of really romantic restaurants on the island. I am going in 3 weeks (I can't wait!) so if you want me to check anything out for you, let me know.

Definitely the Hyatt (m)

We have a timeshare at Divi Dutch Village, but as far as the high-rises go, the Hyatt is incredible! The Radisson is really nice too - we had dinner there one night on our honeymoon. I would agree not to go all-inclusive because there are so many wonderful restaurants. Try Madame Jeannett's for a romantic and delicious dinner. Flying Fishbone is very romantic (dinner on the beach with your toes in the sand), but a bit pricey and the quality is iffy sometimes. If you have any questions I'd be happy to help - we honeymooned there 9/2. Michele

Hyatt - if price isn't a concern

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in Aruba at the Hyatt in August. We loved it for our honeymoon. It is very beautiful, however if price is at all a consideration, perhaps try an alternate. Even though we new it would be expensive and had been told, it was still a shock. Everything was extremely expensive there. (One day we ran out of suntan lotion and went to our gift shop and they wanted to charge 22 bucks for a bottle of suntan lotion). We absolutely loved Aruba, and the restaurants are wonderful (but do keep in mind also expensive). Our favorite restaurant while we visited was the Flying Fishbone because of the ambience. Have Fun!

We stayed at the Radisson...

and we loved it! The reason we didn't stay at the Hyatt was b/c we heard that only had french balconies (just enough room to step out on). We really wanted something where we could sit outside and enjoy the view (and it was incredible!) Our favorite restaurant was El Gaucho, but you have to be a meat eater! Make sure you go into town and shop!

ARUBA is AWESOME

We are going to Aruba too! We are thinking of either the Hyatt or Radisson. I have been there at least 5 times b/c my mom has a timeshare. FI has never been. We are going for the honeymoon b/c I know it is a guaranteed great time. Weather is always great and there is tons to do. I wouldn't recommend an all inclusive. There are a million great restaurants to choose from, and it is not like Jamaica where it is scary to go around the island. The people are fantastic. May I recommend when you go that you all do the Jeep tour and the Kookoo Kunuku Bus. TOTAL BLAST!!

Aruba for Honeymoon..Need hotel suggestions

I just got married this past October and we stayed at the Marriott and it was really nice. Our room was really big and we had free buffet breakfast every day (which saved us over $300 for the 10 days). It was the last hotel in the 'strip', but it had the nicest beach -- not a lot of shells, etc. But any of those hotels are really gorgeous. The Radisson was my first choice, but the rooms looked small. We did check out the lobby and casino and it was really nice as well. Good luck!

Just got back from Aruba on Wednesday night

WE just got back from our honeymoon. We stayed at the Hyatt, which was really beautiful. We really did not see many hotels, but the Radisson is really pretty and the boat tours leave from their pier. I have heard good things about the Marriot. We stayed at the Wyndham in Disney, and the service was really good. The Hyatt is the most expensive on the island, and if we go back, I am not sure we would stay there again. Everything is just a cab ride away, and the cabs are not terribly expensive. One recommendation: go on a ATV (all-terrain vehicle) tour of the wild side on the island. It was the best thing that we did!

Marriott rocks!!!

Hi- We went to Aruba at the end of Sept and stayed at the Marriott. It was gorgeous!! It is at the end of the hotel strip so you are not in the heart of all of the hotels but we loved it!! We walked to the Hyatt and had dinner at one of their resturants and it was beautiful... I really don't think that you can go wrong!!! My one reccomendation is that you do not do an all-inclusive!!! I am sure that it is great but Aruba is has such wonderful place to eat that I feel like you would miss out if you didn't get to experience it all!!! We did meet a couple that stayed at the Allegro and they love it and I am sure it was great but they didn't get to experience all of the great places!!! If you want any other suggestions you can email me at [email protected]. We loved it and cannot wait to go back!!! Good luck!
