If you didn't do all inclusive, how much on avg did you spend all day on food/drinks? Trying to figure out if it's worth it to add AI. I know we are going to go out a lot for dinner, but for drinks/lunch/bfast.
Anyway, about avg how much did you spend daily for food/drinks? TIA

Re: Aruba girls-past and present
This is such a great post! I am going in august and hopefully people will reply! I am sorry for not being a real help
I have heard drinks are expensive but we figured we would go to the local store and stock up.
We aren't staying at an all inclusive. I heard there are amazing resturants and when we firgured out the totals it didn't seem to pay since we firgured we would be eating dinner out every night.
Just a thought.

Re: Aruba girls-past and present
factor in mind if you are big drinkers or not.......if you each grab a drink or 2 by the pool every day, even go down for a breakfast, factor that cost in!!!!!
this is what our TA suggested

We chose to go all inclusive (actually required by timeshare) When u think about it. 3 meals and drinks can add up. I heard the restaurants in Aruba are expensive.

We decided to do all inclusive just based on the savings for drinks, breakfast and dinner. It is also a good feeling to not have to carry cash on you all day, and maybe just for dinner...

Do you have to go through the Marriott or can you change hotels?

We paid already, so I dont think we can switch now without being charged. I'll look into it.

Re: Aruba girls-past and present
I'm staying at the Marriott Surf Club in July through my parents time share so we are not getting the all inclusive. We chose Arbua because it is one of the islands that you can really leave the resort and try many great restaurants. I think we will spend quite a bit on food and drinks though... AI is nice because you dont even have to think about it! But we are looking forward to the good restaurants. Sorry I didnt answer your question but we are in the same boat!!

How much do you think? over $1700? Just seems like so much when hotel and flight is $2000

Re: Aruba girls-past and present
FH and I decided not to go with all inclusive because I love trying different restaurants, we knew it would be more expensive, but we saved some extra money and we did a honeymoon registry.
