Re: Aruba Honeymoon Questions

We went to RIU for our honeymoon last month. It was great! I'm a fan of all-inclusive b/c then you don't have to worry about having money on you at all times esp. at the pool bar. Also, it can be really expensive to have to pay for 3 meals a day plus drinks and snacks.

We met a couple that did a few nights at the Marriott and they said drinks were like $10/each and breakfast everyday was $50.

You can always venture out of the resort for a few meals, but at least you know most of it is taken care of at an all-inclusive.

We're going to Aruba for our HM, staying at the Riu. I went all-inclusive because we can eat and rink, so it is better for us to have that taken care of. I wouldn't be surprised if we went out to dinner a good amount of nights though since there are so many great places.

I guess it depends on how big of drinkers and eaters you are...

were going to bucuti- adults only, breakfast included...totally awesome place! there are such good restaurants in aruba that you can eat out and decide how much you're going to spend instead of being locked down into all inclusive... JMO! hth, fm if you have any questions about it! Good luck

we are staying at the Riu....after reading and hearing reviews, we really felt comfortable with it and opted for the all inclusive knowing it will atleast cover our breakfast and drinks!

We are going in the fall! Staying at Hyatt! I have been there many times and the Hyatt stands out by far in my mind! It is a little bit more expensive but it is worth it for the service and food! We booked through 1800oharuba! Great deals! Also check out costco travel if your a amember

Re: Aruba Honeymoon Questions

We just got back from our Honeymoon at the Occidental. This was our second trip there, the first one was 10 years ago when it was Allegro. Overall it was great even though it was not spectacular like you would think it would be for honeymooners (and there were a lot there these past 2 weeks) .

I would definitely recommend all inclusive for breakfast and lunch alone. It is very convenient to not have to carry money with u and eat and drink all u want. We did go out across the street (new strip of stores, restaurants, and movie theater was right outside our hotel that wasn't there before, even had a dunkin' donuts) and have dinner some nights but the restaurants at the hotel were great and already paid for. Feel free to Fm me with any questions.

Re: Aruba Honeymoon Questions

We're just going for a regular vacation in August - we're staying at the Westin and we're not doing all inclusive because we really want to explore the island and eat out at lots of different places. I would say all inclusive is probably the way to go for a honeymoon though because I'm sure you'll have many lazy beach or pool days and the drinks alone would really add up if not for all inclusive!
