For those of you honeymooning in Aruba - I will be in late September - WHERE ARE YOU STAYING? Also If you've been before - where did you staty - pros -cons-etc
The $$ situation wont be a big deal since we already have our airline tickets and it cost $50 total for first class roundtrip - FH is very thrifty when it comes to collecting miles on his credit card!!!!

Re: ARUBA HONEYMOONERS ADVICE PLEASE
We are going to Aruba for our honeymoon in November or December. We are looking to stay at the Occidental or Divi Village (both which I heard great things about)...I also heard good things about the Hyatt and Renaissance. FM me if you need more info!

Re: ARUBA HONEYMOONERS ADVICE PLEASE
We chose the Occidental, and we got 1night free! Our travel agent suggested the Occi over the Divi, but we hear great things about both.

Re: ARUBA HONEYMOONERS ADVICE PLEASE
I stayed at the Windham and it was beautiful a few years back... the one piece of advice I would give is to budget for food! It's soooooo expensive to eat in Aruba!

Re: ARUBA HONEYMOONERS ADVICE PLEASE
Stayed at the Radisson recently. Beautiful hotel & very nice pool & Palapa policy (no race for the palapas in the AM like other places have). Good poolside restaurant. Visited friends at the Marriott which was beautiful too. MANY more children at the Marriott & they have a lazy river there. Hyatt was quite beautiful & had an older constituent & nice restaurants. Not as great pool.
Food is SUPER expensive in Aruba & not as great as what you think you should be getting for the price. No dinner meal was under $100 for me & FI. The place I would recc eating at was called something (maybe Chez) Janett. Best quality of food for the price. Def get their steak. The fish meals weren't up to expectation.
Have a wonderful time!

Re: ARUBA HONEYMOONERS ADVICE PLEASE
we are going to aruba for our HM in May...we are staying at the Bucuti. I have been there before with my family and stayed in the high rise area. I think it will be nice to be at the Bucuti for the HM because it is small (only around 100 rooms) and is all adults. It will be much quieter and our room looks right out on the ocean. We got the penthouse. I guess it depends if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing time or if you want to party it up!
