Re: ARUBA LADIES

the two places we loved were the flying fishbone and the california lighthouse. if u go to the lighthouse try to go at sunset. it'll be soooo pretty!

we also rented a jeep for a day and toured the island on our own. we saw the natural bridges and just had a good time. and snorkeling was fun too!

YES, FLYING FISHBONE!!! Sooooooo fun and different sitting IN the water!!! Very cool!!!

If you have the time to rent a car on your own, take a ride out to Baby Beach. We loved it. Relaxing and a different kind of a feel to the ocean AND the island, too...

Never made it to the lighthouse, but wanted to...

If you can, take a jeep tour. We had a great time on the one to the natural pool. Had we rented a jeep on our own, I don't think we EVER would have gotten down to the natural pool. It is a lot of fun!!! (Curtis was our AWESOME tour guide)...

Eat at Eliots (on Eagle or Manchebo Beach -- the lowrise section), Amazonia in the highrise. If you go into Oranjestad at all, you MUST MUST MUST eat at El Gaucho's.... I think this was my FAVORITE food there... (We went for lunch and I think it was the best steak I've ever had!!!) If you want to see some football or baseball (idk if you'll be there for the world series), definitely go to Champions in the Marriott Stellaris. You feel like you're home, and it's quite nice for a bit...

If you're into hookah, there's a little outdoor bar in 'South Beach Center' (near Amazonia and Busters. Just tell the cab driver) and you can sit at couches or the bar and smoke a hookah (or shisha as the bartenders called it) for $21...

just for starters!!!

OH and if you like CHEESE, get some cheese while you're there. It's sooooooo fresh and soooooo good! Especially Gouda!!!

Have fun!!!!

oh and btw, the submarine is a waste of money, IMO. It was $99 pp and there were like 8 fish in the water. Ok, I'm way exaggerating, but there's just not much to see in the water in Aruba... It was kinda cool, but the boat ride out to the submarine was more interesting in some ways... Maybe for $30pp???

We did this - You can drive one by yourself or they'll drive you around the island - They'll pick you up at your hotel. You can find them at night across from the Playa Linda by the square.

Bring sunblock - 30 at least for the first couple of days - cheaper to get it here

We ate dinner at Gianni's (italian) - Biggest shrimp in the shrimp cocktail I've ever seen in my life

Our favorite restaurant was the one at the lighthouse - La Trattoria El Faro Blanco. Try to get reservations during sunet. It was SO unbelievable!!! Also loved the Flying Fishbone but it's SO far away. If we had to pick one, we would have gone with La Trattoria.

Have fun!!
