Aruba or Bermuda?

I'm trying to decide between the 2 for a honeymoon. So far Aruba is getting more votes. I hear there is much more to do there at night than in Bermuda. Can anyone let me know from experience? Thanks in advance.

Ps. we would be going in early August. Aruba is suppose to be out of the hurricane belt. this is why people are telling me to go there instead. Although Bermuda looks so beautiful and relaxing too.

I have been on a cruise to bermuda and i didnt find there was alot to do off the boat.
I am going to Aruba next august for our honeymoon as well. My FH has been there twicw and will not go anywhere else. FM if you have any questions. Where are you staying? We are staying at the Hyatt.

I have been to Bermuda. I took a cruise on Celebrity Cruise Lines. The island is beautiful but there wasn't that much to do. There is no nightlife.

I am actually leaving for Aruba tomorrow for 5 days for a quick getaway with my husband. We are staying at the Radisson. I will let you know how it was when I get back.

Aruba Definitely I stayed at the renaisannce. It has a private beach where a sm boat comes 'right into the hotel to pick u up and there are a few places to go at night the hotel will direct u where to go . There was a club around the corner we had a ball. It was right next to where the cruise ships docked.

I would say Aruba. My opinion is that Aruba is alittle bit more of a 'splurge' vacation and you only have one honeymoon so why not splurge!

I have never been to Aruba, but FH and I went to Bermuda for a week this past May. (We got engaged there. ) We had a terrific time! It is a beautiful island. The water is crystal clear. We swam with dolphins, went snorkeling, explored the crystal caves, went horseback riding, went shopping in town, road a scooter all over the place, and went swimming and lounged on the beach, of course. There was much more to do, but we didn't have enough time! And it was only about an hour and a half plane ride! (I hate flying, so that was a plus for me.) The island is very clean and very safe, and the people are really nice and friendly. On the down side, the food there is very expensive (but very good!).

Regardless of which destination you pick, you are going to have an amazing time!

I have been to both and I can't say enough good things about them. They are both kind of different.

Aruba has much more nightlife (casinos, clubs, restaurants). Bermuda is a little more laid back with not so much nightlife.

Both are gorgeous places and there are tons of things to do during the day. The hotels are excellent in both places.

My MOH just got back from her honeymoon in Aruba and she had a blast. My other friend took her honeymoon in Bermuda in 2001 and loved it so much, extended her trip by a couple of days.

If nightlife is what you want -- choose Aruba. If you are looking to relax, enjoy beautiful beaches, golf, high-end shopping then choose Bermuda.

I am planning on going back to both places in the future.
