Help!!! Were trying to decide where to go on our honeymoon. We will be going in April. I've never been to either and I don't know how the weather will be like...any suggestions...???
I've never been to Aruba but St Lucia is absolutely beautiful. And its about 85 degrees year round.
I've been to Aruba and its gorgeous! Riu palace is where I stayed.. I've never been to st Lucia but Friends of mine have and they weren't very pleased with it there..
Aruba is wonderful! There is plenty to do with great restaurants, casinos and beautiful beaches. Plus you feel really safe walking around.
I've been to both and I preferred Aruba.
I've never been to St Lucia, but we just went to Aruba in August. It's gorgeous. We went with friends who got engaged in Aruba, honeymooned in Aruba; they've been at least 6 times. There's a lot to do, it's safe walking around outside your hotel/resort and the restaurants are amazing. HTH.
FH and I are torn between these 2 locations also! We have never been to either location but I think we're leaning more towards Aruba.
We're looking at the same 2 locations, too. AND we're getting married the day AFTER you! My parents have been to both, and they prefer Aruba. But Aruba is more expensive. If you find a deal, let me know!
Hi! I've been to both places and they are both beautiful. If you are looking for a place with more Caribbean culture, I'd say St Lucia. It is loaded with rich culture and friendly people. That's what I prefer honestly. In Aruba, its very Americanized so it won't be much of a big difference from here in the US but they don't call it 'One Happy Island' for nothing! Either way, you'll have fun... ENJOY!! :)
Also, to consider is that St Lucia has 2 sides - a French and a Dutch side. I stayed in the capital of St Lucia which is Castries, which I beleive is on the French side. Most people speak English there though. If you decide to go to St Lucia, check out the Pitons and the Fish FRY on Fridays! Lots of fun :)
I've never been to Aruba, but I've been to St. Lucia and didn't care for it at all. FH went to Aruba with his family just as we started dating and said he had an awesome time. I've never met anyone who didn't like it there.
St Lucia is absolutely beautiful.. I went their last summer with some of my friends we had a great time...
I know a lot of people who have been to Aruba & had no complaints.
I've gone to both..and they're both beautiful..but I'm all about the white sand and clear blue beach and I would choose Aruba. In St. Lucia the sand is darker because there are so many active volcanos, which if you decide to go there, definitely do the volcano mud bath!! Good luck on either one you choose!! Both are beautiful!!
