Aruba recommendations

I know this has been discussed before...I'm sorry if I'm repeating. Ideas for all-inclusive resorts?? (I know many say not to do all-inclusive in Aruba but we would rather do that..) Riu and Occidental are popular I know,,,but any others? Thanks!!

Re: Aruba recommendations

We did an all inclusive for our April Aruba Honeymoon ... we stayed at the RIU .... we decided to stay at all all inclusive because of the drinking and DH does not eat breakfast but I do

Our splurge was going out to dinner at a different restaurant every night ... it was about 150 a night extra but we enjoyed every meal...

Basically the location is great [the Occidental is like 3 hotels away so their location is great too]

I enjoyed the service we received at the RIU ... the food was blah but the drinks and the service by the pool was great ... the room was amazing though

We walked past the Occidental a few times and it seemed to be a bit more lively then the RIU ... the only reason and I mean only reason was that the RIU was about 200 to 500 dollars cheaper and at the point when we booked the honeymoon I was looking to save every penny I could LOL

If you have any other questions just let me know

Re: Aruba recommendations

I went to the Occidental the end of October this year, It was good, we saw so many honeymooners there, I even bumped into a LI bride. lol
My review is: Beautiful hotel, alots to do, the have a casino and a lil club/lounge. But it was a much older ground so the club was packed with people. WE laid out on the beach, drank, drank, drank, drank. Got a great couples massage. WE went on excursions, I just wished the crowd was a little bit younger. BUt other than that, the food was great, alot of selections.
