Aruba Review

Hi Ladies
FH and I are back from our awesome getaway to Aruba! I'm so depressed...I wish we were still there! The weather was absolutely gorgeous - not a cloud in the sky any of the days we were there! Anyway - we stayed at the Radisson and I just want to give a short mini-review for any Aruba Honeymooners! When we arrived at our hotel we were the only ones checking in! I could not believe there was no line! It was only 1pm so our rooms weren't ready yet, but they took us to their 'hospitality suite' so we could change into our bathing suits and enjoy the pool and beach. At 3pm, we figured we would try and see if it was ready and it was! We were in the Curacao tower - believe it or not there are three towers - Aruba, Bonaire and Curacao! The Aruba one is the most renovated one, so try to request that one if you can! Ours was still very nice, don't get me wrong, but nothing really really special. We walked along the beach everyday, and the Radisson was by far, the largest and least crowded of all. As for the new all inclusive RIU, very nice, but not sure it's the best for honeymooners looking for private and peaceful. It's very loud - but definitely a happening place if you want action. Live music all day, swim up bar - and built in lounge chairs in the pool (which is awesome by the way)!!! The Westin was ok to me - nothing really special again. The beach is very nice - but again, crowded, and the pool wasn't as big and glam as I thought and pictured it to be. As for food, you must eat at Papimento and Madam Jeanette - forget El Goucho - we ate there our first night - yes it's good - but go to one of those two restaurants i told you about and eat steaks one night and seafood another. You won't be disappointed! The menu selection is so large and you won't know what you want to eat!!! El Goucho is like a really good outback to me! It's good - but truly there is better! We also ate at Japengo in the Hyatt - Japanese and Asian - fantastic sushi! We also heard very good things about Blossoms at the Westin (Chinese and Japanese) but when we went for lunch - they wouldn't let us in because we were in 'beach attire'. I was quite pissed at this because there was only one table in there and I asked if we could just sit at the sushi bar (i was in a cute dress - not a tube dress - and my fiance was in a t-shirt and shorts) - yes we had our bathing suits on - but oh well - they lost my business for lunch! Anyway - Aruba has great food and restaurants and the service is great! For honeymooners - I would recommend staying at the Radisson - like I said - it was sold out and you'd never know it - it was perfect! We had a palapa (a large hut) right in the first row everyday! You must reserve these at 4pm everday for the following day - there is a line - but we figured it out that if you tip the person in there 10 or 20 bucks - you won't ever have to wait in line at 4pm everyday! We had our #20 everyday!!! FM me for any more info...the Hyatt is beautiful also - just seemed a little too crowded on the beach and not much action going on!
