Had enough drama to start the week... which I won't get into again.
FH just called me and told me FedEx fired him. Apparently since they don't want to lay people off (to avoid severences & unemployment) they will find little things to add up & fire you over. They did this to another co-worker of his as well.
They accused him of coming in 2 hours before his start time and punching it, leaving & then coming back. Which is a load of crap. I know he's not one to get up extra early and be there at 6:15am when he;s not due in to 8:30am... and he doesn't have a car and would have to walk 4 miles to work & then back again.
Then they said his time card was smuged. What a bunch of bull. Yeah he must have done it *rolls eyes*. He said it wasn't smuged when he left. Besides it's all logged electronically on his pad when he gets back to the station & even leaves and does stops.
Then it was a write up he got 3 weeks ago for only have 93% of his packes in on time.... when you're supposed have 95%
Maybe this was a blessing in digsuise. He got an interview at UPS next week. They pay more & they are union. He is fighting the termination in the mean while. but if UPS accepts him he's going to just switch to them/
I just hope UPS taks him. More money and better working enviroment.

wow is not the word for this!! I firmly believe in 'all things happen for a reason' so maybe the UPS will work out and FH wont have to worry about the drama of FedEx... Hopefully some good things start happening to you two soon!!! You deserve it!!

that a lot of crap. i hate hearing when people get blammed for things they didn't do. especially when we know thats out of the persons character. hopefully the UPS job will work out.

Thanks for all the good wishes. I don't plan on canceling or pushing the wedding back as of now. I have to January for my first payment to CLM, I got the money ready for that already so no worry there.
I'm pushing a head and still keeping appointments with the photographers I made ones with for the week (meeting with Velvet tonight actually).
I'm just trying to think that this happened so the job at UPS would come along.
They told him on the phone he's pretty much a shoe-in because of his 2 years at FedEx and he's now got a Class C license.

I am really sorry this happened to FH. He can still apply for unemployment benefits however, the only way they would reject it is if he voluntarily quit. Lets hope the UPS interview goes well! keeping my fingers crossed for you.

What kills me is that next Sunday we were to leave for Albany to visit my grandparents. We put in for our vacation for that week.
Now I don't know if we're still going. He might have to start a new job or something...
I don't think I can pay his end for the trip

Im sorry I hope he get this new job. Just tell him to file for unemployment anyway ive done that before without getting laid off and i got it! its worth a try have him go online right away and file.
