I've heard great things about Kim Sun Young--they are a salon that does hair AND make-up. They have several locations including Bayside and NYC.

Sachiko Yanase did my makeup and she did my mom's hair, she's really good...

Half-Asian girl here! Sachiko Yanase all the way -she is phenomenally talented on girls of all races/ethnicities (esp. us Asian girls!).

I had a friend that used her and her make up came out really great, so I had to ask her who she used...which was Sachiko... though in the ended I did not use her because DH and I chose to do one of those asian photography places that had a package deal that included a makeup artist.

Check out Beauty One from Wedding Group One. I believe the makeup artist has her own place now. It's called VickyC5. I recommend them, they're fast, efficient, and they did a great job.
