asile runner question

Has anyone used an asile runner outside?

Our wedding is in a garden and I'm thinking about skipping the aisle runner because I'm afraid that walking on fabric ontop of grass will end up with my flat on my face!

has anyone used one on grass - was it tricky to walk on?

I'm with you Nina I'd end up on my face. I think it would bunch and it'd be hard to see if there's a divit in the dirt or anything.....

how about scattering petals down the 'aisle'?

It's up to you -- just check with the hall -- I've heard of places not allowing them b/c they're afraid people will trip.

i was going to use this bamboo matt thing i had bought, but DH told me to 'test' it in the backyard two days before the wedding...well godd thing i did!! It bunched up and twisted and was pretty hard to walk on...soooo i scrapped that idea & just kept with my aisle decorations of garden hooks & windchimes....i think it looked fine without one!! (and it sure made walking easier! haha...you can always line the aisle with hurricane lamps & silk leaves in them...or something similar

Here's what my ceremony area looked like...minus a runner..haha...HTH!

Re: asile runner question

I went to a wedding recently at fox hollow and the ceremony was upstairs in the chapel. They did use an aisle runner when the bride came down the aisle and it was fine. only problem was they forgot to pick it up after the bride and groom went down and all the guests had a hard time coming out of the seats with the tulle draped in the aisle and the runner
