Just wondering if everyone is asking their BM??? My relative is getting married and has listed me as BM on their website, but has never asked.

i asked all of my girls so far, i assumed that some knew and when i brought it up they were surprised, or at least acted that way lol

Hi! I asked all mine except 2 I didn't get around to asking yet since I am OOT and I almost did the same thing. I started to list them and then realized I couldn't since I didn't ask yet.... Oops. Maybe they did the same.

I asked all my BM's except my sister who before I could ask told me she assumed she would be(she was right! but she never really asked me to be a BM when she got married, she more or less told me I was the MOH) But even if they assume they are, I would ask.

FH and I asked each person if they would like to be in the bridal party. I think its the right thing to do considering there is money involved. Some people may opt out if they can't afford it.

Well my sister already knew she was going to be my MOH so i didn't have to ask her. I also kinda told my aunt i wanted my cousin (her daughter) in my wedding party so she kinda told her.. and basically the only person i had to ask was FH's cousin (i am having a small BP to avoid the friend drama!)

My one and only BM actually asked ME if she was going to be a BM! It was pretty funny!! I was going to do something cute to ask her but couldn't figure out what so she saved me the trouble. hee hee.
As for my MOH, I was going to do something cute as well but we got drunk at a bar one night and planning something sweet flew right out the window!

Definitely ask! You can just call them up and do it, or do it in a cute or original way. I got cards that said 'Will you be my bridesmaid, I promise I won't make you wear an ugly dress!' With a little book about being a bridesmaid.

My girls all had a pretty good idea but I sent them all cute handmade cards asking 'will you be my bridesmaid?' I got those really nice 309 sticker type things from AC moore of bridal things and used them. The girls loved them and really appreciated me taking the time out to do it. I think its a really nice gesture to ask rather than assume.
