Asking BMs
I am recently engaged and would like to know how other brides-to-be asked their friends to be BMs. I am looking to do something creative rather than just go to their house and ask. Any suggestions?

Asking BMs
I`m only having a MOH and 1 BM - for my sister (MOH), I just asked her normally. For my BM, it just so happened to be Valentine`s day, and we work together in the same office, so I bought a small box of chocolates and in the card I asked her if she`d like to be in my bridesmaid. Not the most original, but I thought it was cute!

not my idea, but...
i wish i heard of this before i just asked my bms. 'someone on the board did a card - something old, something new, something borrowed' (on a card) then inside a box was a blue flower with another note - then theres you. I might do it to invite my bms to a bm lunch before the wedding...

Asking BMs...I had a secret BBQ
We sent everyone that we were going to ask an invitation that had a little poem on it that did not tell them what the party was for but that if they wanted to find out they needed to show up. So they all did and we started the BBQ with a champagne toast asking them and threw a party in honor of all of them and how special they were to us. It was a great time and the whole bridal party got to meet and have a fun day together! I am sure that they all knew already but it was still a fun day and a good ice breaker. Good Luck!

Asking BMs - Yabbobay that was me!
Actually it was my friend, who just recently asked me (and 10 others) to be her bridesmaids...She gave us beautiful small boxes (looked like hat boxes). And as Yabbobay said, there was a card on the outside that said 'something old, something new, something borrowed' and inside the box was a blue flower that said 'and then there's you - will you be our bridesmaid'. She also included a framed picture of her and me. Yabbobay, she'll be sooo happy someone liked her idea!! I know I did!

Asking BMs
I went in search of a special, yet humorous book, to give each BM as a keepsake. I found a few that were cute, and I ended up getting each girl one of these books: 101 Uses for a Bridesmaid Dress by Cindy Walker, Mehalko Donna, Donna Mehalko (Illustrator) For My Bridesmaid by Mary Rodarte (Editor), Anne Smith (Illustrator), Miniature Book and/or Always a Bridesmaid : 89 Ways to Recycle That Bridesmaid Dress by Rebecca Whitlinger I wrapped them in pretty wrapping paper and wrote each a note telling her how special she was as a friend to me, and when I had all of them together, I gave each one their gift. They loved it, and it really made them laugh with the humorous content of the books.Welcome New Vendors
