Did anyone do anything special when asking the FG and RB'ers?

no... i told my SIL I wanted my niece on Facebook, and i bumped into our RB's mom (FH's cousin) in the grocery store so I asked told her then!

nope.

i asked my brother first then i asked the kids.

it was cute to see them excited about wearing clothes for the wedding

Not to say that you weren't already doing this but definitely ask the parents first...

FSIL asked FSD to be a JBM without asking FH...he was not happy to say the least.

I already asked the girls mothers and they said yes. I didn't want to ask the kids at that moment since it was someone's Graduation party. I didn't want to take anything away from her.

I dunno.. i wanna do something.

I gave my niece a flower and asked her with a card she is young but I thought it would be nice to have as a keepsake and I asked my nephews on easter I put a paper asking them in their baskets

They were so excited lol

i got a book for the ring bearer even tho he will be 2 in a few weeks. lol '1 cool things about a ring bearer' (something like that) they sell it at barnes n noble

fg we just asked.

My 2 girls aren't really that young. One is 5/12 the other is 8 (a small 8). hmm.... ::thinking::

Our FG and RB are both 2 right now, and I didn't really have to ask either of their parents. It was always known that those 2 would have those roles.

I made my flower girl a pocketbook on a canvas bag with an iron on applique and took puffy paint and put her name on the bag and tied little bows on the handles. It turned out cute.

I wouldn't waste time or money on it... it's not their fault, but they may not appreciate it.

the day FH & I got engaged, my nephew asked if he could be the best man so we told him then no he would carry the rings.

as for my nieces i kinda told/asked my brother & he said he figured as much.

i was going to make them keepsake picture frames but didn't have the time to do so.

There are some books on Amazon.com...I bought two of them to give to FSD but they were actually pretty terrible LOL...one was about a FG at a wedding that was a total disaster...maybe you can find something better than those though.

Mine are both currently 1 year old... so no.

But when i asked my jr bm and gr gm I bought them a huge container full of candy. I am positive their parents hated me for that though!

I asked the parents first and then I asked the FG and RB....the RB actually said no...it was pretty funny...but he's still young....come to think of it...my JGM said no too until he was told he gets to ride in a limo...lol
