Asking Readers...HELP

Ok, I 'think' I know for a fact that my Aunt won't read at my wedding because she would be too nervous....so I was going to ask my Uncle (her husband) but do I ask my Aunt (I originally wanted her to be the reader) in front of my Uncle and when she says no does it look funny if I ask my Uncle. I'm thinking it might look like I chose him 2nd which is true but I don't want to come across like that.

How should I handle this?

I would ask them separately. Just to save yourself in case he does feel weird.

I would ask your aunt alone and give her the opportunity to say yes or no (maybe she'll surprise you!) If she says no then let he know that you're going to ask her husband.
