So when is the right time to ask the girls to buy their dresses? I am going to look with my MOH for her dress this week and if we find one that we like for her i will pick out a dress for the bms also from the same designer. Im getting married in July 09 ... is it too early to ask them to get them?

I think so. I am an 08er, but I began askign them by sending emails of cute dresses. I am a procrastinator and didnt start actually going to stores till about 5 months before the wedding. I am marryng in August and we ordered the dresses about 1 month ago.

If you know the dress you want then I don't think it is too early. I am planning on ordering no later than october.

My friend is getting married in Sept. and we ordered our dresses in Jan or maybe Feb and we are still waiting for them. I know it as only been about 6 months but they are on back order. They say we will have them before the wedding but what does that mean? Will we have enough time to get them altered? I say, the earlier the better!
Oh and she ordered hers in Oct and hers isn't in yet either!

Thanks for the advice ... This is what I am worried about too .. Plus I figured that since all the fall stuff is in now, we can get summer dresses on sale so they dont have to spend that much on them

I got told about 7-6 weeks (THE LATEST). But if you know the dress then you might as well get it over with!
