Assembling my invites tonight. Any advice? & a few questions.

My mom is coming over to help me assemble our invitations tonight. I've already folded all the folders and numbered the response cards.

Any advice?

Do you seal the inside envelope?

How did you seal the outer envelope? Glue stick? water? Lick and stick?

Did you put a sticker or a seal on the outside? Is it necessary?

TIA!

Re: Assembling my invites tonight. Any advice? & a few questions.

Inside envelope doesn't get sealed,

We bought a envelope moistener so we didn't have to lick and stick

Stickers/seals-we didn't do them.

My advice, put stamps on the response envelopes before you stuff them. Stuff all the envelopes first before you stamp the outside en.
Put the order of materials in front you within an arms reach. Have fun, take your time, and don't rush through them.

Oh yeah, don't forget all the inserts, direction cards, hotel info

Re: Assembling my invites tonight. Any advice? & a few questions.

I was told not to seat the inner envelope... in fact our inner envelopes didn't even have anything to seal with...
I actually licked the outter envelope myself... we did put a little sticker on the back of each outter envelope b/c I got all the stickers on sale so I figured I would use them... they are totally not necessary...
Just remember when you stuff the envelope you have the reception card, RSVP card and any direction cards in each envelope...
good luck...

Seems like you got everything covered. One thing we did was pre-stamp a bunch of the rsvp enveloped so we didn't have to worry about it.

Have fun!

Be careful with the licking. FH helpfully licked many of the envelopes and was so carefully laying them out on the table. Then, when I picked them up later, some of them were wet with slobber, hahaha. I did laugh about it, but found it ironic that he was handling everything so carefully when we were stuffing them, but not while he was licking them!

I also pre-stamped the RSVP envelopes and I found it to be a time saver.

My sister helped me pre-stamp the RSVP envelopes and outer envelopes ahead of time. I stuffed all the invites myself and set up a big assembly line for everything. It's time comsuming, but it's not so bad.

Definitely do an assembly line so you don't forget anything. Also, get the moistener thing-the glue on those envelopes tastes disgusting. I had to really hold my envloples closed so they would seal..it took alot of extra time.

Def. put the stamps on the reponse and outter envelopes before you start so they are ready to go(it will save you a lot of time). Take your time and make sure thet everything is in order and each envelope has each item going into it! Sounds like you have everything good so far!! Have fun! We did ours last night! we sealed them with a clear glue stick and put a sticker seal on the back after!
