Astoria World Manor

Hi, i am new to this site- does anyone know anything on the Astoria World Manor? I am going to visit them over teh weekend as a possible location for my reception. Any feed-back would be appreciated. Thanks!

I am getting married there this Saturday, I'll let you know after that.

So far, my experience has not been wonderful. I would advise you to get everything in writing, including a list of liquor that is served.

Do a google search perhaps. I remember there being a news story about them a few months ago - one of the local networks aired it and it was not a good one.

I can't speak as a bride, because I am not booked there nor did I consider it. But our Best man got married there last June. From a guests point of view, everything was wonderful. I don't know if the bride and groom went through any drama, but the wedding reception itself was wonderful!

When you walk in, in the lobby, there is a large white horse (maybe dog) statue. DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT TRY TO SIT ATOP OF IT--NO MATTER HOW MUCH ALCOHOL IS CONSUMED. Some friends of mine learned the hard way!

Good luck!
