My cousin is working with Pinilla Studios. They have an office across from Astoria World Manor (on Astoria Blvd.). Depends on what style you're looking for...they seemed to only do traditional photography.

There aren't too many, Duet has an office in Manhattan- close to Astoria. I liked their style much better.

I'm from Astoria, and went FAR out long Island for my photographer. I used Thomas Paul, and while I dont get my proofs until Tuesday, he is totally worth the drive.

cherish83 - can you FM me with info on T.Paul. How much was your package? What did it include? He is on my vendor candidate list so far.

As for Astoria photographers, the place by Astoria world manor has a nice portfolio i have seen. But i am not familiar with their work personally.

Most photogs will travel in NYC, so IMHO I wouldnt limit yourself...

I definitely recommend him! He lives in Bayside, but could probably meet you in Astoria if necesary. Yesterday I scanned some proofs from Christo and put them in an album...check them out! He was my favorite vendor and he was awesome to work with from start to finish.

Oh! You're wedding is in May....ok, honestly...I would expand beyond Astoria. Venture out to Long Island.

I'm working with Twelfth Night- in New Hyde Park (near the Queens border). I love them, they have packages starting from $1875 or so. You customize what you want and can always opt to purchase albums later.

You can view their website or search on the Brides Review Forum to view pro pics.

Our photographer is Amanda Picone & Andy Chin. They both lived in Staten Island but will meet you in Astoria. Check out her work in my album. Very reasonable and affordable. FM for more details.

My brother used Pinella for their wedding. The pictures are very traditional. I would not go with them unless that is exactly what you want. IMO, even if your looking for traditional their photography was not impressive. Go to LI.
