QOTD: To all the girls who have already chosen there Gown , what elements of the gown made you fall in love with it, was is exactly what you were looking for or did you change your mind on style once you began trying dresses on.
If you haven't gotten your dress yet, what elements are you looking for in a dress, do you have any particular dresses in mind that you want to try on?
Answer: I did choose my dress and i have a deposit on it , its not ordered yet. I was originally looking at rouged bodic dresses with pick ups and i really thought i was going to get a maggie sottero dress. But as i went shopping i decided that i didn't like where the pickups were laying and there wasn't enough work on the dresses. i saw my dress from across the room and asked to try it on, its a ball gown with straps and work everywhere. I feel in love as soon as i put it on!.

I love Jim Hjelm and really hoped to have one of his dresses. I was looking at all lace sheath/mermaid type dresses thinking this would work best for a beach wedding. They all looked nice but none of them did it for me.
It was the dress that my grandma pulled out and said give this a try (even though it was nothing like what I was looking for) that ended up being the one. I saw myself for the first time and got chills and tears in my eyes. My mom, grandma's and girlfriends cried. No other dress for me.
It's a Jim Hjelm and it's my dream. I love it for it's classic timelessness. I felt like Grace Kelly. The material is so light as well. It's a modified A-line with a small train.
I know I wanted something with BLING!! but simple, elegant bling not the kind thats all over the dress
and it had to be sweetheart neckline and somewhat fitted but still have poof!
i had a lottttttttttt of specifications! lol
i put a deposit down on a dress, didn't order it yet
i love love love love my dress! I just dont love the price!

I am having a hard time with this. I went dress shopping twice and found two dresses I really like.
The first is from david's bridal and has a keyhole back.
The second is a casablance that is more of an a-line with a sweetheart neckline.
I really don't know what look I want to go for.
Oh! Also, I am dying to try on paloma blanca style No. 4065, but I'm afraid I am going to love it and it is going to be too expensive
The Palomas at Bridal Reflections Massapequa and RK Bridal that I've seen are under 2k....at about $1,800 or so.

I love that my dress is very slimming, simple and has one shoulder strap. Its a trumpet style dress (maggie sottero- fiorella), but never a dress i picture myself in.

I have not even started looking yet. But I know I want strapless (maybe sweetheart) and not big. I want a dress that is not really poofy. Very simple. Some beading, not a lot. Short train. I like many of the Maggie Sottero ones......well I like them online on the models anyway

I always envisioned myself wearing something very simple, elegant and breathtaking.
I found THE dress and I plan on incorporating a teal/blue sash to match my BP and the color of my wedding
I have purchased my dress and I love love love it. I was very particular about certain things...No pick ups in the skirt, very minimal to apliques on the skirt or train and no tule. I just didn't know if I wanted a ball gown or a trumpet/mermaid. I ended up going with the ball gown.
I'm going to try to post a picture but it never works!
I have tried on so many dresses and I know the style i want (sweetheart neckline, slim a-line) however I havent had that 'feeling' yet and the one I want the most..I cant find at any store...once I do..and I try it, I know that one will be the one!

I'm not even sure what I really want yet. I do know that I want it in ivory and a sweetheart neckline with a low back (hiding any back bulge :-P) Other than that, I'm not sure. Here's what I like...
