My wedding is in 6 months and i dont have a lot done. What I do have is the ceremony and reception hall, flowers, photographer, and dress. When should i get the officant, tuxes, limos, invitations, and book my hair and makeup or anything else that i am missing? I really need to get the ball rolling......

Are you having a Band or DJ? I would start booking all that now, July is pretty popular month so If theres an officiant you really like I would start booking now...its good to get all these big things out of the way, because there are alot of small things to work on like, seat charts and DIYS, palce cards, programs, favors etc... I would start looking at invitations. I know it seems like you have a lot of time, but depending on some invitation companies, it could take 2 months to make. And...you want to make sure that your invitations go out 2 months before the wedding. My wedding is in August (2nd). This is what I have done (in this order): Hall (april 08) Church (april 08) Band (may 08) Photographer/Videographer (june 08) Dress (july 08) Limo (november 08) Wedding Rings (december 08) Hair + Makeup (december 08) Invitations (in the process) (january 09)
Need to book the florist next...but I am making my own centerpieces so I just need bouquets and bout.'s.

Yea, I'd start invitations. I'm getting married in August and the woman I'm working with said to avoid any panic, rush fees, etc I should aim to have invitations ordered by March 1st. You're a month before so maybe aim by Feb 1st?
ofcourse you can always wait a bit, but it would prob just be best to get done to avoid any last minute stress...

Here, I'll make everyone feel better. We are planning on getting married in July and we haven't even picked the reception site yet. We got engaged in the beginning of December and decided to wait until after the holidays to start looking. We just started looking on January 2nd and my head is already spinning!!!!
