the guys pick out their tuxedos? We are 9 months away from the wedding. When do they do this? Is it too early or should they wait until a few months before? I have no clue about this. Thanks.

Call your tux place and see what they say. i think it depends on the time of year. Remember May and June is also prom season

We went 3 months before. I don't think you need to go any sooner than that.
