Atkins Induction Phase

If anyone here has done the induction phase of the atkins diet, can you post breakfast ideas- I am running out of creative ways to cook eggs!

Re: Atkins Induction Phase

This weekend I made:

Cheese pancakes from the Atkins book:

1 cup cottage cheese
6 eggs
3 TBSPs soy flour or soy protein powder
2 TBSP's melted butter
salt and pepper to taste

Mix all ingredient in blender and then cook like pancakes in a hot skillet.

These are great with sour cream.

I have also used them like crepes and rolled flavor cheese spreads up in them.

PS- this recipe makes enough for 3-4 people

I know some people would find this gross- but sometimes I eat cold cuts for breakfast... or tuna fish for breakfast....

Hi, I am so happy to see many of you are on Atkins. I just was going to post a posting to see if any of you girls were. I just started Atkins on July 5th and so far, so good. I really haven't had to worry about making breakfast yet, because my first meal of each day is at noon. I work night shift, so I eat lunch at noon, dinner at 5 pm and then another 'lunch'at 2am. But I have heard that the omelette with cream cheese and bacon inside it great. It is hard to think of breakfast ideas for this diet, hmm...

I thought it was gross to eat cold cuts and tuna in the a.m., but I do it too! I think on atkins it is very hard to eat 'normal' breakfast food unless you LOVE eggs!!!

Yes, the Atkins power bars are great for quick lunches and dinners. For about $ 1.75- 2.00 each that is also an affordable lunch!!!

My FH has one evryday for lunch and has lost 45 lbs. He is now a skinny minny!

Where do you get those bars? GNC?
What flavors do they have and does it fill you up?

They are TOTALLY filling- eat it w. 2 glasses of water and you are FULL!!!! I get mine at Vitamin Shoppe & my FAV is the chocolate peanut butter.

I buy them at the Atkins store in Rononkoma b/c its close. I've seen them in Waldbaums, and my gf said she's seen them at Trader Joes. GNC might have them too. They are pretty filling. There are a lot of flavors. I like the s'mores, almond brownie, and the chocolate coconut. We tried the chocolate peanut butter ones, and although they were good, we found them to be a bit dry. We also have the mocha crunch ones but haven't tried them yet.

I have to try them. I gained weight and I'm not happy. Its amazing how quick someone can get out of shape after a few months of not working out.
