have you found a new location yet? We are still looking

Hey I am SO sorry to hear about your reception site. We had chatted awhile back about the Atlantica, when I was considering that location. I hope that everything works out for you!! We ended up choosing Chateau La Mer in Lindenhurst. Everyone has been great there. Since Atlantica was too expensive, I have been gearing my theme towards some of the pics on Atlantica's website. CLM definitely has a lot of potential, maybe check it out...Good Luck!

I am going nuts but I am managing! I'm just really anxious and I hope that our new venue doesn't have any hiccups. I want a smooth wedding without having to worry about a single detail on the day of the wedding...Thanks for your support!

Re: Atlantica bride support group

I am a former Atlantica bride as well, May 2010 was the date to be. No new venue yet as well but am looking at some of the Lessings. Has anyone else got there money back so far? I have left multiple messages for Todd and Ginny and have gotten nothing back. We are speaking with a laywer and will sue if necessary, It's so sad this has to become part of our wedding planning process, as if you dont have enough to worry about already. Lets all stay in touch and perhaps start an email chain if we want to take additional action against them together as well.

These people are rude, selfish and just disgusting!!

You girls who have experiences with them should post all abuot it on every single site you can!!! Yelp, etc!! ANY and EVERY review site there is... as well as BBB!!

This is VERY DISTURBING!!!!

no money back yet... left serveral messages... and weeks ago todd / ginny said the credit card would be refunded in two weeks.. well that has come and gone.. no money. My mom called her credit card company, and they told her to wait a few more weeks until the money was a month late getting refunded then Chase will go after them.

This stinks! Now we feel like we are under so much pressure to find a new place and possibley a new date.. that it is stressing us both out and we can't even talk about it this is supposed to be a FUN TIME.. not all this stress and headaches b/c the venue canceled.

I feel so sorry for everyone that got cancelled a few weeks before the wedding

To get your money back -

GO THERE IN PERSON - insist on seeing Ginny and BE VERY ADAMANT about how upset you are and how you NEED the money back NOW - that you KNOW that she done this for some other people -
best to do this on a weekend (i went on a sunday) midday when there were lots of people around to hear how upset i was - don't be afraid of being loud - bring your parents or fiance - and be very insistant!!!!!
GOOD LUCK GOOD LUCK and do NOT take no for an answer!!

I agree, I really think you may want to get a laywer, I don't trust that when they close the doors on the 31st offically in Westhampton they won't just push it off further or worse go chapter 11 or bankrupt on that location and you never see the money again. good luck I will let you know when I get mine back and when.....

I had a lot of trouble getting in touch with them at first also. My Dad called Ginny non stop until he got his deposit back. She told him she'd get it in the mail, and he said he wanted to come pick it up, thats when she started acting funny. He told her exactly when he was coming and they ended up giving us our full deposit. You have to call them obsessively to show that your serious. Call her cell, the Atlantica and the Allegria.
