yay! i'm so excited too! i've been dying to talk about it with other atlantica brides! it was the first venue i looked at, because i had been secretly 'internet- stalking' it from long before we even got engaged :o) when they told me that they had my date available, i was 'to the moon!' are you getting married there too? like ceremony and reception? that's my plan :o)

Yes ceremony and reception! I was worried about the transition from ceremony to cocktail hour but I heard they do it seamlessly. I spoke with a girl that got married there in September and her menu sounded AMAZING. Who are your other vendors? I really can't wait for the group tasting!!!!

We have not booked anything yet, but we are leaning heavily towards Atlantica - but would be fall of 2010.
I am so excited to see other Atlantica brides on this site! I am so in LOVE with the space. We would have both ceremony and reception there.

i'm so jealous of you girls having the ceremony there... we have to have it in a church as per our devout catholic families... can be very annoying!

of course your fall wedding counts! i feel like there are so few of us atlantica brides. i totally know what you mean about the catholic thing. went through all that nonense too. but, we decided not to do the church thing.
i havent booked all my vendors yet. anyone have any suggestions?

i've heard it's really streamlined. i went there for a dinner, during restaurant week, i didn't tell them i was going, just because i wanted to check out the food. i can't even tell you how awesome our dinner was!! i can't wait for the tasting!!

i actually just made an appointment with flowers by rori in quogue. ryan was extremely nice and he said that they have been working with atlantica for a very long time and has also worked with lisa (the event coord) numerous times also!

i have also eaten there... about 3 times so far. i think every time is better than the last. i have tried so many different dishes and everything is awesome.
for those of you having your ceremonies at atlantica, what are you guys all doing for your rehersal dinners? i hear you can really only get in there during the day because the restaurant is open at night.

i'm not doing the rehearsal there because it's so far. jessica (my event coordinator) said that she'll come to me, where eve we have it. i'm probably going to do it at a local restaurant. we're kinda laid-back :o) how about you?
and i'm so excited about the tasting - i've heard it's amazing! time flies when you're planning a wedding ;o)

Re: Married at Atlantica this summer??!
I am so excited! My FH and I decided this morning that we are going to put our deposit for Atlantica!
We have a really long time to go, the wedding will be in Oct of 2010. I am so glad that their are other Atlantica brides out there!
We actually went in for a tasting a few weekends ago and Todd & our planner sat down with us for almost an hour. The food was amazing.
My FH and I are big foodies, so we wanted to make sure wherever we got married had top rated food, and Atlantica / Tierra Mar def. does. We have not done anything yet, how far in advance did you book your photographers?
Any one using a band? As for flowers - Claire Bean does excellent work

Married at Atlantica this summer??! New Questions :o)
So, who is getting an aisle runner (for those brides getting married at atlantica?)
and how are you doing your send-off? any ideas? since we're getting married there, there really isn't any time/place to do the send off. is anyone doing rose petal toss as you walk back down the aisle? or are you doing something at the end of your reception? (like last 10/15 minutes?) just looking for ideas here!
oh, and lastly, how are you doing your introductions of BP, etc? Who are you introducing?

i wanted to mention, Atlantica just put Sugar Magnolias on their preferred vendor list. (she's an amazing flower designer, not a florist)... and she really works with your budget. she's who we hired and she's so so cool!
