Looking for any brides getting married at Atlantis Marine World - any vendor suggestions? Would love to hear from people who've been to weddings there. Feedback? Thanks girls!

Re: Atlantis Marine World
I was at a wedding there in October of 06. It was really nice. The only thing is the dance floor isn't in the room that you eat in, but other then that it was really cool!
Good Luck!

Ask them about the lights in the tank. They are on a timer and go off automatically and depending on your wedding time, before your reception is over. The staff cleans up rather quickly...people were looking for the guest book and it had already been put somewhere. Bridal attendant put all of the stuff in the bridal room on two tables, totally mixing up everyone's stuff. Check out the lighting for where your speeches and your table is. You may need your DJ to set up additional lighting.
If it rains, you have to walk outside to get to the tent area where the ceremony is, that is if you are getting married there. Double check to see if they have umbrellas. If you are getting married there and they tell you that you don't need a rehearsal, you definitely need to coordinate. People weren't in the right spot at the right time. The flower girls need to be stopped so they put roll the runner down the aisle. If you make your entrance from the front door over the wooden bridge onto the dance floor, don't let them wait for the DJ to say each attendants name before they start walking....it is an extremely long walk and by the time you get where your guests are, it almost seems a little awkward.
I was in a wedding there recently as a bridesmaid and since I'm planning my own wedding, I paid attention to everything. It is a nice venue. Those are just things I would have wanted to know or pay attention to if I was having my wedding there.

Thanks for all of your help everyone! Camroy - What did you think about the food? What kind of cocktail hour did your friend have?

I looked at them but decided not to go with them. I was sort of surprised at how expensive they were for my off-season wedding (more expensive than every other place I looked at, including Crest Hollow and several hotels!).

I didn't participate in the cocktail hour because we were taking pictures. I think there was just a table of fruit and cheeses, vegetable, crackers, etc. There were passed hors d'oeuvres. FH really like the bacon wrapped scallops.
The food was buffet style. There was a rice, sliced roast beef and turkey, a ziti dish, vegetable medley. The food was pretty good. Can't quite remember it all.
