I just watched my first episode of 'Rich Bride Poor Bride' and they asked for an ATM at the reception and wanted to put it next to the card box!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The wedding planner was so embarrassed but got one anyway because he has to do whatever the couple wants They decorated it with white bows
Anyone else see this episode? What would you think if you were a guest?

I saw that one. I could not believe that the wedding planner actualy got it for them. I was laughing so hard and then when the groom said he was just kidding about having it, the wp's face was hysterical.

I think he thought they were serious and went ahead with it anyway to make good TV... the producers probably told him to do it!
They had a $30k budget and came in under -- I totally thought they had a $5k budget or something by the way they carried on the whole show.
I'm watching the end of another episode now (yay DVR) and they ALSO had a $30k budget but ended up going over by more than $20k!!! Could have been a lot more though -- they had an open bar but I guess they were paying per drink, because they closed down the bar after 45 minutes because people were drinking too much (they only wanted to spend $500 in drinks, and were over already)

OMG I saw that episode! I didn't see the ending or if they said that anyone acutally used the ATM.
I thought it was really really tacky of them- If they had to do an ATM- don't decorate it with bows and at least be discreet and put it in the lobby area or something- not right next to the card box!

I really did not like that couple. It seemed like, when it came to them, money was no object (swanky, pricy epics, the most expensive classic car, etc), but they couldn't spend a dime on their guests. I don't care if people don't want alcohol at their wedding or can't afford it, but it seemed like they wanted to spend money on everything BUT the guests.

I agree 1000x!
The third episode we had recorded was the one where they had everything booked and invites were sent out and it turned out their hall wouldn't be done with construction yet and they had to change everything, start over, change their date and double their budget. They were really nice, got along great and seemed to roll with the punches better than I ever would have. Couldn't they sue their first hall though to recoup some of the costs?
