Att: Crest Hollow Brides (past and present)

I thought this was a great post for Crest Hollow brides to discuss their concerns and questions. It would be great if we could continue posting our questions and concerns for the upcoming weddings.
I'm in the Emerald room, anyone else?http://www.liweddings.com/chat/topic-159382-14.html

I have no idea what room I'm in...When I booked Mitch told me that I wont find out until 2 weeks before. It didnt matter cause all the rooms were great!

That's really surprising. All the rooms are beautiful, but I don't understand why you didn't have a choice. You should have the choice, not the hall...at least that how I thought it was. Have you all picked your colors?

Plaza room here too!

They told me I wouldn't find out my cocktail room until 2 weeks before, but not the room my reception will be in. You might want to check on that again, don't you want to know?

I AGREE,, THAT YOU SHOULD KNOW WHICH ROOM YOU ,, IT SAYS IT IN THE CONTRACT..THE ROOM I HAVE IS ON THE SECOND FLOOR,, I THINK ITS STARLIGHT??NOT A 100%???BUT YOU SHOULD CHECK THEM ,,

Have you chosen your colors? And does anyone know about the cake....I've heard lots of different things from girls on this site. Is that we choose from the cake choices they provide us with or can we show them our own ideas just have to use their flavors or we have to pay extra.

Are you postive? i would check into that. THat's might be the case for the cocktail hour room, but you have to know YOUR reception room b/c it depends on your party size and different rooms have different minimums.

Rachel, what kind of centerpieces are you using? are you doing chair covers? what color linens?

I know for sure that I have a choice between 2 rooms upstairs. the larger room is way too big for the amount of guests we are having.
We are using 3 rooms at crest hollow.. 1 for cocktail (the one downstiars), 1 for reception, and 1 for ceremony. So Mitch said we will figure out logistics 2 weeks before. Which is fine with me.

I haven't figured that out yet. I am extremely behind on my planning compared to almost all of the brides on this site. I really wanted blood red as my color, but when I saw the room...I changed my mind. The room is dark red as is and to add more red didn't seem like a good idea to me. So my FH and I decided we want to lighten up the room and then dim it, meaning we want the white/ivory chair covers and linens and flowers but with lots of candles. Set the mood. Our wedding is very very late in the evening, maybe if it was during the day I'd have a different idea in mind. I'm in love with branches, but I don't know how much they cost and if they are in season so I am trying not to get my hopes up before I find out everything.
Does anyone have pictures of the Emerald Room and/or outside ceremony area? My hard drive died and everything I had for the wedding is gone.

i wanted to do some lighting also ,but it was too late, and way over budget for this wedding!!!

They included the tulle with lighting for us for the banister, but I couldn't convince them to do it for the ceiling above the dance floor, my BM said it was too low....however I am still going to try and see what the florist says.

I'm having it in the Emerald room also...We chose our table linens according to our Bridal parties dress color. We're also not going with Chair covers cause it's actually an addition charge and to us, it's something that doesn't need to be spent on. It's up to you ladies. Besides, our family and friends are hardly even going to sit..
